Can my mother give me her car while filing for a divorce to my stepdad?

More details to this question:
I got in a car accident a couple weeks ago and have yet to see the money for it. My mom decided to loan me her car until I can get a new one. Time has passed and we decided to put my money towards a new car towards the car payments of the car handed down to me, and she will sign a lease for a new car for herself. My stepdads name is nowhere near the vehicle, and I am on the insurance. Would this cause an issue during the divorce because of the asset stuff?

The car that was in an accident is her car and considered marital property and will be required to be assessed in her divorce proceedings.
