Can my sons father win sole custody if we have had joint residential for over 4 years?

My sons father and I have been divorced for over 4 years and as of recently he has violated child custody orders twice and now as of 1 day ago he went to the courthouse and has filed a motion to revoke my custody until the court date which is 5/2 and today is 4/20. I have not received anything yet. He is claiming that I'm unfit...that I don't work and he doesn't know where I am staying now, which I am and he does know. I was living with him for a year due to some financial difficulties and he has had me evicted and I am temporarily staying at an Extended Stay studio apt. I just need to know what to do. We live in a Schaumburg IL.
