Can my spouse (we are separated) keep my daughter from me prior to a custody order?

More details to this question:
I have bee waiting to get to court. No custody order yet. When I first left and we separated I was my daughter twice a day to take her to and from school and visited with her every other weekend. Over the last 6+ months that time has gotten shorter and shorter. As of now I have not seen my daughter in 7 weeks. The ex has restricted me from morning and evening calls to my daughter every day to 3 times a week. It’s to the point my daughter ask me to quit calling her.
By "waiting to go to court", do you mean you filed an action, but the case hasn't been heard, or you haven't filed. If you haven't filed, do it ASAP. Document everything you do to try and see and speak with your daughter. You'll need evidence of your atttempts when you do get heard in court.
