Can non-custodial parent keep mother from taking religious trips?

I am the custodial parent and have sole custody. My daughter is 18 months and does not have over nights with her father. She has been learning our religion since she was born and we take a religious trip every year. I gave her father a week and half notice and now he is saying I cannot leave because it takes away time from his visitation. My trip only lasts 8 days. Can he forbid me from attending my religious gathering?

No, just figure out a way to make up the time with him. Each of you will have week long vacations with your daughter for a variety of reasons, and it is perfectly OK, as long as you can make up the time with him.
