My boyfriend is looking to get custody of his two daughters and the mother of the children is bringing up my past because i have a criminal record and him and i reside together. can my past lower our chances in court?

Yes. Two types of things are factors:
1. What types of charges? Violent crimes and drug crimes are the most harmful.
2. How long ago were these charges? The longer the better.
