More details to this question:
My husband’s ex has custody of their 16 year old son after a Virginia divorce. Now the son has a 19 year old girlfriend that is pregnant. She moved in with them. Is it worthwhile to look into emancipation to decrease money given to her to make it better in the long run for him to move in with us and get through school and some training for career? We're in PA. He thinks he's in love and wants to father the child. Is it best to leave it alone and let them figure it out?
Emancipation is not easily granted in PA and unless your son through a lawyer can establish he is self sufficient, he will not be emancipated. I think your option is to commence a custody modification through court.
