My stepsons mother was recently arrested and is in jail currently on hold for ICE. He is 7 years old and currently my husband only has visitation rights. We want my stepson with us. Is temporary custody possible since deportation is probable.

It will be very difficult if the child is not a US Citizen. If the child is a US Citizen or a LPR, Lawful Permanent Resident than yes you can get temporary custody of the child and avoid deportation.
