QUESTION

Child Custody

Asked on Sep 27th, 2016 on Child Custody - Texas
More details to this question:
My husband and I paid for a Child Custody for my son to get custody of our granddaughter. They have been living with us and I take care of her. The final papers have not been signed by the judge yet. Are previous orders still in effect until after the judge signs the finals? My son is about to move in with someone and take my granddaughter, previous papers say no one in the house after 9 PM and before 8 AM. He's only known this girl for 3 months and they fight all the time. I'm worried for my granddaughter.

You should probably seek a change in the final orders so that the child stays in your house. If the child has lived with you for more than 6 months, you have standing to do so. Does the judge know where the child lives now? Was it brought out in Court that you have been taking care of the child?
