More details to this question:
The father of my child is a police officer and I am currently staying with him in his parents home with my 2 year old. I lost my job and have a new one now, I've only been here since mid janurary, things have gotten really bad, he's extremely emotionally abusive, him and his mother try to make all decisions when it comes to my daughter who has been with me and Soley me since birth, he left when she was 2 months old and saw her once a week up until recently, things have gotten to the point where I don't even feel comfortable being here anymore , the mother lies and they both have some secret plan I feel , to try and make me look like a bad mother, I feel extremely vulnerable and scared only cause I am in their home, and he said he will get an emergency injunction if I leave and take her from me, I would be staying with a friend in a very safe place only for a week more or two until I can move, can he do this to me and take my daughter?
Dear Anonymous,
Based on your message it appears that you are going to end up in court. As long as you are providing a safe environment for your child, there is no reason to assume that the court is going to order that the child be taken away from you.
If you are being abused, then if possible you should remove yourself from the situation. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact my office.
