My ex wife lives in Texas, I live in pa,we got a divorce 15 yrs ago,she filed for a divorce did the online paperwork..we both agreed at the time I would help with money when I had it n school clothes, etc..i was never ordered by t he court to pay child support, that was our dealings ...now 15 yrs later my son tuned 17 Dec 15 2017 ,10 months before he turns 18 she filed past child support for the last 15 yrs n now I get a court order stating I owe almost 70 thousand dollars on past child support...can she actually do yyhis to me ..I hurt my back on a job 4 yrs ago ..barely making ends meet ..I do maybe 3 to 4 jobs a week ..cause of my back problems, I am going through a divorce myself, and moving out in 2 weeks...n I get this letter in mail...and I'm still trying to figure out myself how not to be homeless, cause my wife now we are getting a divorce and everything is in her name and she pays the bills n I help when I can ..n able ..there are days I barely can move for 4 days ..

I feel for you man. Do you still have a copy of the divorce judgment from 15 years ago? I think she must have placed the child support as part of the court order. Otherwise, child support usually starts when its first entered in court. You will need to hire a lawyer to evaluate your case. We can certainly help you evaluate your options.
