Asked on Feb 05th, 2020 on Child Support - Tennessee
More details to this question:
I have 3 children. Since the divorce, the father has claimed one, and I've claimed the other two. The child he's been claiming is now 18 and he stopped child support for said child. Can I now, as the primary parent, as well as the main provider, as child is now in college but still residing with me... Can I now claim the child instead of the other parent?

If your divorce and parenting plan doesn't address the tax situation of a child over 18, it comes down to the IRS rules and guidelines. Start with IRS Publication 504; it will pop right up if you search.
