More details to this question:
I want to know if a support judge is allowed to change the date of payment that is previously established in a final judgement in a support case? I am in court because of not being creditied with payments I made, and the the respondent asked for the payment date to be changed to the 10th rather than the 15th, I protested, but the judge changed it to the 10th, is that allowed after a final judgment had already been given, and this court proceeding was about failure of support, rather than date of payment. Also, can I recoup over-payments due to NY state child support processing center accounting errors?

Generally, support magistrates have wide discretion. It isn't clear why the judge changed the payment date but perhaps there was a valid reason presented.
If you are paying through the support collections unit, generally you won't get a refund but you should get a credit. You might go to the scu in your area. I find they are more responsive if you go in person than if you try to call.
Good luck!
