More details to this question:
My name is Michael Cain I was divorced in N.J. In 2011 my daughter Shelby graduated high school in 2012 from school. In aug my ex wife moved to Florida to live with her boyfriend, Shelby as per courts agreement is suppose to be taking 13 credits in college. She is only taking elective courses and is earning no credits, and I also pay alimony is it possible to get Shelby emancipated based on the agreement with the courts, and is it possible to have my alimony stopped because my ex wife is co-habitating with her boy friend and working full time.
As to the emancipation of your daughter---the answer may be "yes." I would need to review the Agreement and get all of the details from you.
As to the termination of alimony--the answer may also be "yes." Again, I would need to review the Agreement and get all of the details from you.
I recommend that you call my office and set up what we call an Assessment. We charge a flat fee for the Assessment of $375. Following the Assessment, I should be able to give you a more definite answer.
