QUESTION

Child Support

Asked on Apr 13th, 2013 on Child Support - California
More details to this question:
I got married and had 2 children during the marriage. But I found some evidence that the children may not be mine. If I get a paternity test and they are proven to not be mine, do I need to pay child support for them still?

Can you get a voluntary blood test to determine parentage?  If you can, then do that.  If you cannot get this voluntarily, then you can file for divorce and state that there are no children. It would be likely that the mom will respond and state that there are children and at that time you could ask the court to order a blood test.
