I have a question if the father is in a man shelter and don't have a job do I have to put him on child support because I really don't want to I feel like that is a setup for him to get in some deep trouble because he don't have a job at this very moment in im on public assistance

Putting the other parent on child support is a personal and financial decision. If you can afford to raise the kids on your own without his support than you DON'T have to. If you need financial support in raising your kids and don't mind him utilizing his parental rights than sure it might give you a helping hand.
