my parents got divorced and now I live with my dad. im 16 year old and live in Kentucky. I want to move in with my mom because my dad mentally abuses me and shames me for everything I do it feels like. I used to be able to visit my moms house a lot until about a year ago my dad found texts of her buying me weed. ever since then I can only see my mom with supervised visits. my dad. he has threatened me that if I go to court to go live with my mom he will show the court the texts and use every single penny he has. he is more wealthier than my mom and it breaks my heart because my mom was treated like this her whole life until she got a divorce. she used to have an alcohol problem until she went to rehab. she got help and she's good now. (she went to rehab before the divorce). me and my mom would go back and change our mistake in a heartbeat. but we are too scared of losing each other forever.

Unfortunately, this is a tough issue. It sounds like your mom, though doing better, has made some mistakes. If you feel like your dad is abusing you or treating you inapproriately, you need to talk to your school counselor and let them know how you are feeling. They may have some of the answers you need.
