More details to this question:
I am going through issues with my ex husband. I only get my daughter on the weekends and I have huge plans to go out n of town. I gave my ex a months notice that I won't be able to take my daughter. He pretty much said deal with it you have her til 7:30 pm that saturday night. Is it my right as a mom to ask him to take her? But if he needs her early on my weekend that's fine. Ready to take him to court over all these issues. Please help!

It appears that your ex has sole physical custody of your child, and that you have weekend parenting time. If that is the case, he cannot force you to exercise your parenting time. If, however, you have joint physical custody, and your custodial time is weekends, yes, you may be required to exercise it. Either way, if you consistently refuse to exercise your parental rights, it may be used against you to further restrict them.
