QUESTION

Denial of visitation

Asked on Dec 04th, 2012 on Family Law - North Carolina
More details to this question:
My soon to be ex husband keeps transporting our children without a booster seat or seatbelts. He has also allowed others to transport them this way. I have made every effort to provide a booster seat and have informed him to use the seat belts. Can I deny him from taking the kids if he will not comply?

For your children's safety, you need to make sure that he uses the car seat. I suggest that you write him a note politely but clearly requesting that he comply with the law related to car seats. If he fails to obey the law, you may have to bring the matter to court, especially if he has court-ordered visitation rights. Good luck.
