More details to this question:
Divorce questions. ( UTAH ) So my main questions are. 1) is there a simple quick and easy divorce ? sign papers and that's it? 2) do we have to go through a custody battle that neither of us want to do? 3) will I be required to pay alimony if we both make the same amount of money? My ex and I are friends to this day. We have already distributed our property. Came to a custody arrangement. we share custody of our daughter at 50/50 for the time. it will change to 25/75 here soon for a short time. ( i would be the 25 ). we understand there are classes we must take. We would honestly would just like to avoid court over this. We have even discussed what would happen if she decides to move to another state to be with her boyfriend and came to a understanding on child support and custody regarding that. We just want this out of the way so we can both live our lives.

The simple answer is that no, you cannot avoid court. I've written a blog on this, and the fact of the matter is that a divorce decree is a court order. So, you will have to “go to court”. But, that does not mean that you have to fight, or have any conflict. You really should find an attorney you feel comfortable working with and make sure that you have covered all your bases (please see my blog on “Uncontested Divorces”). Then, with the attorney's help you can move forward with the divorce in a peaceful, and respectful atmosphere.
