Do I need to go for custody?

More details to this question:
If I have a PFA against my son's father, including my son, for three years stating that until further decided in court, I have sole legal and physical custody of our child, do I need to go for custody?

Getting a court order for custody is useful in case someone decides they no longer want to follow the agreement. However, you don't have to get it.

If he files, then yes you will need to respond. If he doesn't, you will want to file before the three years is up.
