QUESTION

Does a filed divorce petition expire?

Asked on Jan 29th, 2015 on Divorce - Oklahoma
More details to this question:
All paper work was filed with the court. It was supposed to be uncontested divorce with no children. I spoke with the judge who wanted to speak with my husband but he refused to go. The judge wanted to talk with him because in the divorce I was to be given half of a wrongful termination lawsuit that was due to my husband. I received my half of the settlement in September in full. I want out of this marriage. The verbal abuse is getting worse. And the adultery on his part is getting more frequent. My husband is finally willing to talk to the judge but the papers were filed in like June of 2014. Do I have to start all over?

No, you do not have to start all over. Act while the opportunity is there before your spouse gets unwilling again.
