QUESTION

Does a no contact order take precedence over a divorce decree?

Asked on Oct 29th, 2011 on Child Custody - Oregon
More details to this question:
I have a 2 year old no-contact order which is up for review in November, I have also had a divorce in the meantime from victim/mother so my question will the no-contact order be allowed to be lessened due to the divorce decree with the child visits. As of now no contact can be made outside of supervised time, I have supplied the judge with 5 court ordered certificates showing the changes. JI now this is vague just looking for some hope to be able to see my kids like a real father who has worked hard to get my rights back.

The no contact order usually takes precedence over the divorce judgment. If the 2 cases are in the same county, you should consolidate them and have one decision on your contact rights.
