Adopted 2 boys ages 5 and 8. Finalization was 8/03/2012. Disclosure Staffing was 2/22/2012. Disclosed to me the 8 year old has a minor heart murmur which should dissipate as the child ages. Found out in December 2012 that my 8 year old had been diagnosed with Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy in 2011 and I have the medical record stating this had been discussed with the Case Manager. Now I am running this child back and forth to the Children's Hospital in Miami, which could lead to a possible heart transplant. When I called the adoption agency to notify them abouth this diagnosis they said they were unaware of it. How could this be when I have the medical record that states the Cardiologist spoke to the Case Manager in September 2011, 5 months before our Disclosure Staffing?
