father passed what rights as a child

More details to this question:
my father passed away 3 days ago and he told me years ago that everything goes to my stepmother in the will, but if there is land in my fathers name do i have any rights? and what rights do i have as a child?

HELLO?  Need to read the will.  You MUST BE mentioned.  If not, you are presumed to have been forgotten. And can inherit.

If he left a will leaving everything to your step-mother, then she will get everything.  There is no absolute right to inherit property as a child.  If there is no will then you may be entitled to a portion of your father's estate.
