How do I file for divorce I'm a NYC resident and U.S. Citizen: 1. Spouse is non U.S. Citizen (Spouse is Australian) 2. Australia Country was last known address 3. We have no children, no house, no joint accounts, nothing. Uncontested without children. 4. Married in NYC and resident all my life What are the exact steps and forms I need for divorce? Do I need a service publication divorce? Does the person living overseas Australia change publication divorce?

Forms aren't the issue - after a "diligent search" you'll need to make a motion to court seeking permission to serve by publication, which would, if granted, under these circumstances likely be in newspapers in Australia.
