QUESTION

First offense

Asked on Dec 30th, 2020 on Domestic Violence - Nevada
More details to this question:
So I was arrested for Domestic battery misdemeanor that was actually my first offense. The person did not write a statement or want to press charges but since I'm in nevada I had to go into custody. The next day in court the public defender and judge said the DA either denied charges and they were dropped or either they were dismissed, I'm not really sure because my mind was going so fast I was the judge realised me I have no court date and they gave me no paperwork. I look up my arrest record and it says Type/Status misdemeanor CR Denied Can someone tell me what that means ? Am i clear to get it sealed ?

It is a bit unclear exactly what was done in that record; you should consult with criminal defense counsel, who will know exactly what they mean and how to seal them.  There are also forms available on the self-help center website and legal aid has classes and some assistance available for sealing records; you might want to start with contacting the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.
