QUESTION

Getting car title from parents

Asked on Dec 01st, 2013 on Family Law - Indiana
More details to this question:
My stepmoms mother gifted me a car as she had no use for it. I was 16 at the time. It was titled to my parents for insurance reasons (They did not tell me this was fraud at the time). I plan on moving out in a week. It is against their wishes. They took the car away last week as a punishment. If I have my step grandmother sign that it was gifted to me is there anyway to make them transfer the title to me? And would I get in trouble if I went to the police with the insurance fraud?

Nothing in writing, no consideration (no money exchanged) so you probably cannot enforce it. You are probably scaring them by movintg out at age 16 and no one can blame them.
