More details to this question:
Hello! So here is the situation: I'm a Ukrainian citizen, got married to an American guy in 2004 in RI, (stayed together for 10 months) in 2005 we separated and since then I moved back to Ukraine and we never met after that. I was asking him to file the divorce all these years and finally he agreed. I can not come to US, can he do it himself? We don't have kids and we don't want anything from each other, no alomony or property devision is needed. Please advise. Thank you!
Dear Anonymous,
It is not clear from your question whether or not either of you have any connection to the state of Massachusetts. If your Husband has been living in Massachusetts for one year, then he can file for divorce in Massachusetts.
