Okay so I got a girl pregnant in the state of Texas and it was a one night stand. Is there anything I can do once the baby is born to get out of paying child support? I honestly thought about changing my name so she couldn't find me. She knows my full name and my birthdate so I'm really scared. Is there anyway I can just give up my rights to the child and get out of paying child support? Either way I don't think she will agree with that I think she wants me to pay so I'm really scared and need a way to get out of it if possible!! Please let me know what I can do in the date of Texas. Thank you!

You have to make the best of a bad situation. You will have to pay the support unless the mother agrees to let you terminate your rights. You have a right to visitation if you wish and can have a relationship with your child. We have to live with the results our actions and it is only fair to take care of a child you helped to create and who needs a father.
