More details to this question:
What are the steps i need to take to regain visitation to my granddaughter. my daughter passed in 2014 , and around that time is the last ive seen her. shortly after i lost my daughter, i also lost my son. this little girl is all i have left of my children, i raised her for the first year of her life, and me and my daughter raised her for the second, then the babys father took her and wouldnt give her back, if you can respond to me i can go into detail, but shortly after the baby was taken my daughter died, the day after she died i recieved a letter in the mail stating she will be getting custody back. i want to see my granddaughter. i want her to know about her mom and her uncle. thank you,

How old is the child? How long has it been since the dad took her? Because your daughter died, you have standing to file a lawsuit to get a visitation (possession and access) schedule. You will find more information here: http://texaslawhelp.org/resource/grandparents-rights
