More details to this question:
My boyfriend will be in hospital for over a month. He has two children he had sole custody of 9 and 10. The mother is unstable and has had multiple no contact and restraining orders against her not to see the children. She has not done any of the court ordered counseling nor any parenting classes however the restraining orders have expired. How do I protect children from her just coming and talking them from me? How do we establish I am their caretaker while he is gone? Also several other family members have tried to get them as well how do I send them off? There is a large settlement coming to their father from a IVC lawsuit and everyone wants the kids now because of it.

Hey Danielle, You need to hire a lawyer that can stand as a shield between (you and kids) and anyone else that comes through for the kids. The biggest challenge here is that he is your boy-friend. Whoever wants the kids can claim you just came in his life, and don't have a proper relationship to be the caretaker in his absence. If you were his wife, that would be a different story. We can certainly try to help you evaluate your options. Feel free to give us a call or text for a free consultation. Thank You. Toll-Free 1-877-866-8665 // Child Custody Lawyer in ID
