QUESTION

Housing and custody question.

Asked on Dec 28th, 2015 on Family Law - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My daughter and son in law have been married for six years. They are now separating. They are renting and he took her off the lease and claims his layer said he could and that he can tell her she has to leave and if she's not sure where she's going that she has to leave their three year old daughter with him. I would appreciate being advised of her rights so I can show her before she listens to him and possibly does something stupid. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter

If they are separating then she shoul dmove out, but there is nothing that says he gets the apartment or the child.  She can either move out, and immediately apply to the court for support from him for housing and for the child, or she can tell him to move out if she can afford to pay the rent.
