How can i get my son back from his dad my ex?

My ex and I verbally agreed he can have our son for the school year2011-2012 in Austin Tx and i get my son back for the summer for good again. Now that its close to summer his dad wants to keep him and is ignoring me completely. I raised my son for 5yrs and hes only had him for almost 1yrs. How can i get my son we have no legal documents. We were always able to agree but, now things have changed.Ive tried everything I can. Now I dont know what todo?

You need to immediately get some counsel from a family lawyer in your area. If there has never been a court order, you need to obtain one. Because your son has lived in Austin for more than six months, you may need to file in Travis County but you need to have the rights and duties of each parent spelled out in the Order as well as possession periods and child support.
