How could I change child custody?

Asked on Aug 10th, 2015 on Child Custody - Nebraska
More details to this question:
How difficult is it to change child custody? The ex-wife is clearly not keeping the best interest of the children. Their current living situation and her ability to provide for the childโ€™s financial, emotional and physical needs are all reasons that the father desires a change.

You will have to explain to the judge why you want a change is residential custody to allow the children to live with you. You also have to have some proof of the allegations you are alleging. Is it difficult? Depends on the allegations and the proof you have. Difficulty is a case-by-case basis. Speak with an attorney to determine your level of difficulty.

In order to modify time-sharing, you must show how there has been a substantial, material and unanticipated change in circumstances and how modification will be in the best interests of the child. The facts that constitute a substantial change and that justify a modification are case specific. It would therefore serve your interests to consult with a family law attorney to see if you have enough to pursue a supplemental petition to modify time-sharing.

There has to be a change in circumstances not anticipated at the time of the entry of the last decree or order that would necessitate a change in the best interest of your child.
