How do I get custody of my 15 year old sister who is being abused?

My 15 yr old sister ran away from her adoptive home because she is afraid due to verbal/physical abuse. Also sexual abuse has come to light now. She is being detained right now awaiting transportation back to her home. CYF is involved but there has to be more I can do. Can I file for custody or guardianship? I retained an attorney today as well.

Your attorney will know what to do. If you are a suitable placement resource, CYF can place her with you. Your attorney can also determine if you have standing to get custody in adult family court.
