Go to the local courthouse and pull your case file and look for the entry of judgment. No entry means divorce isn't done.

You need to research the county records where you or your spouse lived at or near the time you think a divorce action was started. if you haven't completed a divorce yourself, you need to search court records to find out if your spouse has done so. If you never received a notice of entry of judgment of divorce you probably are not divorced.

You should have been served a copy of the Final Decree. Otherwise, you may go to the Court where the Petition for Divoce was filed to determine the status.

I would certainly have to have a bit more information before I could answer your question directly. Most states, including the State of Michigan, maintain a marriage register. Additionally, it would be possible to check the local court records, and the County of your residence, to determine whether or not an action for divorce was filed and granted

If you filed a dissolution of marriage then you can contact the court in which it was filed and find out if a final judgment for dissolution was entered. In some courts you can go online and check the court records and it will tell you if it was final.
