How do I ledally force my ex to get me off a home equity line of credit?

My ex wanted the house in the divorce and also took the line of credit as well. After 4 1/2 yrs I still cant get her to re-finance the line and get me off the loan. Its sits on my credit rating and I need it removed. Not to mention I am still the responsible party legally if she defualts......Help

If the terms of the divorce agreement do not require your ex spouse to refinance the house, then you need to file a pleading with the court requesting that she be required to refinance. If you are unsure of the terms of your divorce agreement, then you can contact me at 617-410-6467.
