My estranged spouse is from another country and I think he just married to get a green card. I was told a couple months ago by his adult daughter that he never divorced her mom and is still legally married to her. She resides in the Bahamas and is still looking for him. He has told me on several occasions that there is a divorce decree and a court number, however, I have never seen it and he refuses to give me a court docket number. He filled out an affidavit that he is in fact divorced with Immigration office when we filed for his permanent residency. His daughter who lives in the Bahamas said that she and her mother conducted a search with the Registrar Office to see if he filed or got a divorce without her mother's knowledge and she was told that no such document exists. If he is in fact still married, would I have to file for a divorce in this country?
