QUESTION

How do you think this will go for me?

More details to this question:
Neither one of us has a lawyer. I filed he failed to respond. I filed to continue without him and he again failed to respond. Went to court he showed up. Judge basically told him he's lucky he doesn't just side with me right then but wouldn't because we have a child together. Judge also basically alluded to this being his last chance. Judge told him everything he needed to do including having the child support lawyer get him flyers and pamphlets for stuff he needed to do. He has still failed to do any of them. The only thing he has done is file to say he disagrees with what I have filed. That's it. He hasn't done children in the middle or file the financial stuff. Nothing.

It should not be too hard to get the judge to enter a default judgment against the father (depending on where you are in the process and the time for him to file having expired).  Then, you can put together a proposed ruling for the judge on the issues and submit for approval.   If your case is simple (straightforward property division and custody/visitation), it should not take too much time.  I would estimate $800-$1,200 based on the informtion you have provided.     Donna Milller 515-245-4300 http://www.grefesidney.com/our-team/donna-miller/
