How long does it normally take for a contested divorce to be finalized?

The parties have no children, no property, nothing to share or split. They only have pensions.

This sounds like it is uncontested not contested, which can be finalized within 45-90 days, depending on the parties.

No standard rule. Depends on the county, the court, the lawyers. They have property: the pensions, and it may depend on whether they are defined contribution or defined benefit. Unfortunately nothing is ever simple.
