      The general answer to your question is that the length of time it takes for the guardian ad litem to make an investigation and ultimate recommendation to the court, is governed by the facts and issues in your case. As a general rule of thumb, it probably extends your case by 90-120 days to complete the investigation. In any given case, it could take more or less time depending on the issues involved.
