You can file a supplemental motion for modification of child support now- it would seem based upon the information you posted. The children should enjoy the benefits of an increased standard of living of the parents.

If he has not been paying the child suport that was ordered 8 years ago, a child support arrearage has been accumulating. Now that he has a better paying job, you can enforce the payment of the child support arrearage by filing a motion for contempt. In addiiton, if his income has substantially improved over the 8 years since he was last ordered to pay child support, then you can file a modification proceeding to increase the ongoing monthly child support to a level more appropriate to his current income. In Florida, if his income level would result in a child support increase of 15% or $50 (whichever is lower), that would usually be considered a substantial enough change to warrant the filing of a modification petition.
