QUESTION

How Should I Plea?

Asked on Mar 03rd, 2014 on Domestic Violence - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
I was arrested last night after my girlfriend and I had an arguement, the police arrived at the scene; even though we had told them everything was okay. I walked outside to confront the officer and let him know we are fine, he then proceeded to tell me he needed to come inside and I told him it was not necessary, after maybe 30 seconds max he finally told me he would arrest me if i did not move so I did, he then arrested me anyway and brought me downtown on charges of "interfering with an officer" a class A misdemeanor, how should I plea in court I am really nervous what I should do in the morning. WilI I have probation, get accused more so than already have, thanks for your time and help,

Based on the facts you described the case does not sound serious.  I assume neither you nor your girlfriend were arrested for domestic violence. I would contact an experienced criminal attorney.  It may be the kind of case that could be dismissed on court costs without any guilty plea.  I certailnly would not walk into court and plead guilty without consulting an attorney to review the police report and your version of the facts.
