in 2002 I married a Uk citizen and moved to England with him for 2yrs. we then return to usa to live and then in 2006 he bought a plane ticket and return to the Uk and left me. Outside of a few emails I have not heard from or seen him. I went to England 4yrs ago to try and find him with no success. I know he is there as I was able to locate him by phone. He doesn't want to be with me and I don't want to be with him. I did in the last 2 weeks try again to email him and tell him I want a divorce and to my surprise he replied with an UK address and told me to send what ever papers I need and he would sign them and return them as he wants a divorce to. We have no children no property or assets together. I don't know how to move forward from here. I need some advice.
Teresa:
I am assuming he lived here in Ohio with you. If that is so, you have enough jurisdiction to do a full divorce. You may have to serve him by publication if you can get a valid address. Service may have special rules per international law. If he really will cooperate then, "Great"!!
