QUESTION

How will the asset/debt be distributed in divorce?

Asked on Dec 14th, 2016 on Divorce - Florida
More details to this question:
My friend is getting a divorce. She purchased a car during the marriage. It is on her name and has a co-signer other than the husband. The car is not yet paid in full. The husband has never made one payment on this car because he never really held a job. His name is not on the title.

Entirely up to the Judge. She can ask but there is no guarantee.

You are not the person who needs detailed and specific legal advice. It depends upon the facts, and it looks to me like the car's value should be split 50/50.

The car is a marital asset. Use of a lawyer is recommended.
