More details to this question:
We filed for separation 8/2013 and had a court date to finalize legal separation ( kids, property, assets.) Now I'm stuck because I'm the defendant. I committed adultery and I wont to finalize this. What can I do to not have to wait a ENTIRE year (from court date...not date on papers). Its dragging out too long and for the plaintiff to be in control of the filing is crazy. I talked to a lawyer and he says I cant legally file until one year from court date.....not date I had papers drew up with lawyer. The court is dragging this out. How do I file myself? or is there anything I can do as the plaintiff? What if I want to just file a complaint for divorce? Can I do ANYTHING to help this process speed up??
