QUESTION

Imputed income

Asked on Sep 04th, 2017 on Child Support - Colorado
More details to this question:
I provided wrap-around support to my ex-boyfriend while he was earning an MBA (he has 2 other degrees). A year after he graduated, he got a job but was "laid off" 10 weeks later. Since then he has quit looking, and settled to be a Lyft driver. I pay for daycare, healthcare and $55 per month in child support. Can I request imputed income?

Colorado provides for imputed income if you can prove that he is underemployed.  Vocational evaluations are used to help the court determine appropirate income.  Mediation can also be used to have him agree to an appropriate income.
