I have an 11 month old baby and I'm 17, my birthday is in April. My mom dictates everything I do with my child she will not let anyone else watch him. My boyfriend (not the father of my baby) has offered to take me and my child in, the father stated he didn't want anything to do with me or my child. She is constantly lecturing me about my irresponsibility when she won't let me get a job or actually make decisions. I know if I leave I'll be much happier, I have alopecia (medical condition caused by stress) and I have depression (I have 4 referrals to a psych center).
Under Wisconsin law, you are not an adult until you are 18. Unfortuantely, until that point, you willl need to adhere to the rules of your parent(s). Once you are 18, if you want to move out, you can do whatever you want, assuming you can afford to be living on your own.
