A person can use any name he or she wants so long it is not for the purpose of committing fraud. So. Yes, it is legal to keep the married name after the divorce

No it is not. The spouse may choose to keep his/her (usually her) maiden name or if they do not specifically request it, they will keep their married name. In either case, it is entirely their choice.

No, in fact one can change their name to whatever they want it to be so long as they are not attempting to defraud someone.

It is not illegal to keep the married name after divorce. It is entirely the wifes decision whether to keep her married name or revert to a former name.

No, you may keep your married name after the dissolution or you change it back to your former name as part of the proceedings.
