QUESTION

Is it possible for my mom to get back pay?

Asked on Sep 11th, 2015 on Child Support - California
More details to this question:
Hi, I just turned 20 years old and I was wondering if it's somehow possible for my mom to get  money from my biological father. They've never been together but he's never helped her out. When i was 13 she filed for child support but he claimed  I wasn't his so they did dna test and it was positive. Then he claimed to be broke and they let it go, so now I want my mom to get some help back for being alone on it all these years.

The first thing to investigate is whether an order was entered, even if it wasn't enforced.  If there was an order in place for child support and he simply wasn't paying it, your mom is still entitled to the money.  If there wasn't ever an order, it is too late to pursue something now.
